Facility for the implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement
The Government's national development strategy Georgia 2020 underlines the need to introduce economic reforms to stimulate growth of small and medium sized enterprises, enhance trade and revitalise the agriculture sector as a means to address poverty and unemployment.
The project within this framework shall contribute to the strengthening of structured and sustainable mechanisms and practices by Georgian institutions.
Purpose 1 – Support the coordination, monitoring, reporting of the implementation of EU-Georgia bilateral agreements and of EU-Georgia cooperation (Improve Government and Parliament capacity of reporting on EU assistance, strengthened reforms planning and approximation of national legislation with EU norms and standards, using unified methodology. Regularly updated and monitored annual sectoral legal approximation action plans, strengthened policy and staff capacities of Georgian public agencies for enhancing their partnership with EU Agencies and community programmes, improve processes and quality of legal translation
Purpose 2 - Support the planning and implementation of sector-related reforms required by the EU-Georgia Agreements
Purpose 3 – Improve effective public communication and outreach, improving also the line ministries staff capacity for planning, implementing, reporting and monitoring of the Government's strategic communication on EU-related in order to increase awareness of advantages among national, local and regional public authorities, businesses and society.
Main tasks to be performed:
1.Provide regular assistance to the project management and expert team, in particular to the AA Facility’s assistance rendered to the Parliament of Georgia.
2.Fulfil everyday assignments i.e. contributing preparation of the written outputs, Progress Report etc.
3.Providing administrative support for organising the project planned events such as trainings, workshops, conferences;
4.Preparing background documents, training materials as well as any other logistics.
5.Involvement in evaluation of the project’s short-term experts for the foreseen activities.
Education: Bachelor Degree/Postgraduate or Master Degree in International Affairs, European Studies, Political Sciences and other education related to the topic.
-Fluency in spoken and written English
-Good communication skills, good relational skills with senior officials and administrations;
-Multitasking and capacity to work in a team
