The present Technical Assistance is part of the 11th EDF "Justice and Accountability Reform (JAR)Improved Domestic Revenue Mobilisation (DRM) and management for sustainable development through Uganda's membership in the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) ;
Sector Reform Performance Contract (SRPC)" which overall objective is to contribute to the sustainable development and inclusive economic growth of Uganda.
More specifically the project aims at fostering transparency and accountability of the justice and public finance sectors, by improving the governance of public funds, including the mobilisation, strategic allocation and efficient use of public resources, in order to achieve the following results:
Enhanced contribution of the Accountability Sector Working Group and its Technical Working Groups to the sector ;
Improved coverage, accessibility, management and Human Rights compliance of service delivery in the JLOS sector will be achieved;
Satisfactory progress in the proportion of courts with an automated case-management system (CMS) will be achieved;
Enhanced contribution of the JLOS Sector Working Group and its sub-groups to the sector performance;
Timely and comprehensive Disbursement Request Dossiers for the Sector Reform Contract;
The latest Communication and Visibility Manual for EU External Actions will be complied with a capacity transfer strategy and a communication and visibility strategy to accompany the implementation of activities.
